20 - CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF BATS NEXT GEN - 23 April 2022

23 APRIL 2022
THE HAYMARKET, BASINGSTOKE

Performed on April 23rd 2022, the show was a celebration of BATS Next Gen’s 20th year since its inception in 2002.

The show brought together a selection of songs from musicals the society has performed, some well-known, some not so, using a new cast made up of young performers aged between 9 and 18.

It also included 6 Directors, 2 Musical Directors and 2 choreographers, all working on separate sections of the show.

During the performance, Next Genners from previous years talked on video about their memories of being in the society, what they gained from their time and what they are doing now, as well as a message from Dawn Wylie, who was Director from 2003 to 2006.

The show has been nominated for a NODA SE Award for Best Compilation Show 2022.  The winner will be announced at the Day of Celebration on June 11th 2023.
